Starting from a temporary book store in Girgaum under a banyan tree in 1942, Mr. Keshvrao Kothavale expanded his business to other locations in Mumbai. After his death in 1983, his son, Ashok took over the business and further advanced the business to higher levels of success. He continued with his father’s concept of providing the facility of an hour for discussion in his book store and covered more milestones of success. With the publication and promotion of more than 1500 Marathi publishers, Majestic and Mr. Ashok had won a number of prestigious awards in the category. Some of the awards include Best Publisher award and the V.P. Bhagat Award followed Daman Puraskar and many others. After a huge success of the offline business of the book store, Majestic came up with an online presence with a huge collection of books and publications to browse for, providing an ease to readers to order their books and get delivered directly at home.
