Tripura is known as the oldest princely state of ancient India. Ujjayanta Palace is known as the Royal Palace of Tripura. Royal Palace of Tripura was built by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya from 1899 t0 1901. The Great Poet, as well as a novelist Rabindra Nath Tagore, gives the name “Ujjayanta Palace”. Rabindra Nath Tagore was a regular visitor to Tripura.
